General Description

Lids is seeking a Database / Application Administrator to add to our growing team. This position performs all duties of database administration, they will also assist with in creating and monitoring ETL pipelines, system Integrations. This person will have experience maintaining databases, batch and real time SQL integrations to departmental data warehouses and applications. As well as have a working knowledge of developing reports and dashboards in Power Bi. Experience as an application administrator and an understanding of user security in an application setting.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

1.    Develops, implements, and maintains database components: functions, scripts, stored procedures and works with various departments on data mapping and system integrations. 
2.    Develops and maintains data backup and archival strategy. Experience with Rubrik is a plus.
3.    Optimizes existing databases and processes. 
4.    Writes ETL, data profiling, data quality, cleansing, SQL Database, Master data and archives modules as required by business 
5.    Monitors, analyzes, and reports on overall system capacity including, but not limited to, memory, space, I/O, and CPU. Implements and makes recommendations regarding new database features as they become available. 
6.    Will work with the DevOps team to setup auto scaling and on demand use for Data pipelines for Azure databases.
7.    Is responsible for data security for on premise database servers and Azure cloud based solutions. 
8.    Will be a part of a team supporting business applications and assisting with user security setup and administration.
9.    Develops and documents database administrator procedures and service level agreements. Identifies and implements continual improvement initiatives to enhance the performance of the position, team, and company.

*This position will be located our of our corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana and will require relocation if not local*

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

1.    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Technology or equivalent or two or more years' experience in Database, SQL scripting, ETL and BI tools. 
2.    Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, Mysql, relational databases and Data Warehouse Concepts. 
3.    has a good knowledge of database back up strategy, indexing, SQL agent, performance improvement and execution of plans. 
4.    Has a thorough working knowledge of SQL, coding technologies and procedures. Must have knowledge and experience in data and database integration techniques 
5.    Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and SQL Server Integration Services.
6.    Experience with application administration and performance troubleshooting.
7.    Needs the ability to work on multiple items and manage priorities accordingly, 
8.    has the ability to be detail oriented with strong emphasis on accuracy and delivery of high-quality projects.
9.    Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required as well as experience in a team-oriented environment. 
10.     a knowledge of implementing and working with source control tools.
