2nd Shift - 5pm to 3:30am 

General Summary:

Position Description: The role of the Team Lead encompasses a variety of tasks to be completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Team Lead is required to use a computer on a stand-up station, while setting priorities and maintaining production timelines and requirements at all times. Understand the proper procedures for regular operations of the department. Receive instructions, give instructions to their team members and work with others team leads. Generate maximum production input on their team and following up on their current requirements. Effectively communicate with others, record a log data daily to maintain high production and minimal error.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Stand and / or walk during shifts between 8 and 12 hours long
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and /or stretch during shift works hours.
  • Able to consistently work at fast pace and maintain high productivity and accuracy
  • Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists 
  • Work with and or around moving mechanical parts
  • Must be available to work weekends when mandatory

Job Required Knowledge, skills and Education:

  • 2-3 Years of experience in a Distribution Center

 

  • Computer Knowledge – specifically proficient in Excel, Word, RF guns and warehouse management systems

 

  • Math skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving
  • Effective Communication/comprehension skills – verbal and written 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Working holidays may be required
  • Overtime is often required (sometimes on very short notices)
  • Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail
  • Good timekeeping and work attendance
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish)

Reports to:  Warehouse Supervisor

 

Working Condition:

•             Working condition is normal for the warehouse operation

•             Reporting to the Shift Supervisor or Manager
