GENERAL SUMMARY:

Primary objective is to minimize theft and fraud throughout all Lids facilities; to maintain a visible presence within the Facilities, identifying theft and fraud through various means, and to participate in internal and external theft and fraud investigations.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the implementation and execution of all loss prevention initiatives, programs, and standard operating procedures.
  • Educate all distribution center associates to maximize compliance with S.O.P, and help create a culture of “see something say something.”
  • Conduct and/or participate in fraud and theft investigations and subsequent interviews.  Timely and accurate reporting of said investigations and interviews.
  • Use various surveillance methods to prevent and resolve fraud and theft, mitigate safety and health violations, and in general, to aid investigations as necessary.
  • Collect, process, and maintain all evidence collected during any investigation and/or incident.
  • Prepare and submit written and/or digital incident and investigation reports as necessary.
  • Watch for irregularities; security breaches and possible areas of concern, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contacts emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel as required.
  • Remain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security code violators; may approach suspicious person and/or notifies police as appropriate; may address and detain violators, as required, until police arrive.
  • Conduct, assist, and/or facilitate cycle counts and/or physical inventories.
  • Develop competent knowledge and use of all DC security systems; inspect and make adjustments to said systems as necessary to maximize operational use; help prevent tampering of said systems.
  • Assist LP Management in completing various LP and Safety audits.
  • Assist the Corporate Safety Manager in the implementation and execution of various safety programs to support all LIDS Sports Group DC facilities.
  • Communicate with relevant authorities, and when necessary, leadership at all levels of the company.
  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • 4-year degree in business or a related field, or two year degree in a related field, and at least one year of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Interview & Interrogation Certification coupled with a record of successful resolutions is advantageous. 
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Competent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle diverse situations. 
  • High degree of initiative and motivation; ability to work with minimal oversight as necessary. 
  • High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of CCTV, EAS, alarm, and access systems.
  • Ability to react felicitously in emergency situations.
  • Sufficient body mobility to accomplish essential functions; ability to sit, crawl, and stand for extended periods; ability to bend, kneel, and stoop with relative ease. 
  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 80% of the time.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.
