General Position Summary

Manages all inventory accounts payable activities, which includes oversight over the processing of payments, reconciliation of product receipts and three-way matching process.  Leads and directs the work of others.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Active leader of the Accounts Payable team.
  • Directly manages team, which includes the following managerial tasks:
    • Interviews, selects, and trains employees
    • Determines rates of pay, raises, promotions
  • Conducts and communicates performance review.
  • Assist Inventory management in direct supervision, training, approval of AP team.
  • Work directly with vendors as well as supply chain team to resolve discrepancies on invoices.
  • Partner with Corporate AP team on weekly disbursements to ensure invoices are paid timely.
  • Leads inventory AP team to ensure product receipts are three-way matched to invoice and purchase order.
  • Communicate with employees at all levels of the company, including leadership within each department.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • College education required.
  • Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.
  • Ability to read and operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs.
  • Sitting required for up to 90% of the daily work schedule.
  • Viewing a computer screen for up to 90% of the work time.
  • Operating a computer keyboard for up to 90% of the work time.

  • In order to perform the essential functions of this job, an employee must be able to meet the following physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
  • This position requires less than 20% travel.
