Job Title: Brand Manager - Specialty Concepts


General Description:

Lids is searching for an experienced Brand Manager to lead our MLB, NHL, NBA, Paris St, Germain F.C. in-store activations. This position requires an experienced account manager leader and live experience professional. Your day-to-day will revolve around managing league partner relationships and developing concepts to bring our brick and mortar stores to life. You will concept, plan, operationalize, execute, and evaluate compelling ways to activate some of the hottest retail storefronts. You will be tuned to opportunities presented by cultural calendars, product launches, sports season highlights, and Lids/League business goals. A successful candidate will be able to understand the needs of all parties, define success, understand the resources available, and create/execute plans worthy of drawing a crowd, creating content, generating brand love, and attracting media coverage.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grow productive and positive relationships with all-league partners (MLB, NFL, NBA, franchise teams, etc.)
  • understand all pertinent aspects of Lids and Partner business
  • Own the annual experiential activation calendar
  • Ideate and create compelling in-store activations
  • Create plans to generate foot traffic, satisfy all internal/external goals, create content, attract media coverage
  • Project Management
  • Own live on-site activations
  • Generate reporting and recap communications
  • Work cross-functionally across Lids departments


Job Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or applicable areas of concentration
  • 5 years of experience managing external relationships
  • 5 years of experience managing live experiential activations
  • Experience across the full range of project management from ideation to execution to reporting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to generate compelling ideas
  • Understanding of consumer trends
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of co-workers at varying management levels
