General Description

Records and maintains the underlying business transaction details that reflect and document the financial activities of the organization through tender reconciliation.

This position works fully in-person at the Lids corporate office in NW Indianapolis.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

· Active Member of the Cash Management Team.

· Reconciliation of store cash deposits, gift card and credit card variances, and sales.

· Some clerical work such as mail organization and filing paperwork.

· File paperwork and maintain an organized work atmosphere.

· Maintain an excellent attendance record.

· Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

· Communicate with employees at all levels of the company including store employees, district managers and regional directors in the field, as well as team members in other departments in the cooperate office.

· Communicate with banking partners to investigate deposit processes and discrepancies.

· Create and maintain Cash Management Cases to inform the field of cash variances.

· Create and run various reports for Cash Management Team and field.

 

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

· Proven ability to perform both independently and with a team with minimal supervision.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both written and verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.

· Ability to use critical thinking skills to make decisions on cash management cases.

· Ability to read and operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs.

· Sitting required for up to 90% of the daily work schedule.

· Ability to view a computer screen and operate a computer keyboard for up to 90% of the daily work schedule

· Proficient in reading, operating a computer, and navigating related software programs

· Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel

 

Preferred Job Knowledge & Skills

· 4-year higher education degree

· Prior work experience in the retail, banking, or other customer facing and/or cash handling positions
