General Position Summary
Desktop Support Lead is responsible for establishing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining software and hardware needs of end-users. You must also train the departments deskside support staff to perform their duties at a high level which includes but is not limited to break/fix, shipping, receiving, recycling, inventory management, hardware and software lifecycle management, endpoint security and MDM.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Train staff to perform duties at a high level
- Work closely with department head to tackle projects and issues
- Troubleshoot break/fix issues with hardware and software
- Maintain accurate records with all applicable systems
- Inventory Management
- Shipping, Receiving, and Recycling
- Endpoint Security
- Imaging of Windows and MacOS based devices
- Supporting POS devices
- Maintaining a secure and up-to-date end-user environment
- Provide metrics and status updates for projects to supervisor when requested
- Software deployment and removal
Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent Written and Oral Communication
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or 4 years of experience
- Experience with Windows operating systems, imaging, and troubleshooting
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Critical Thinking
