General Summary: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. In this position, you'll work at the intersection of development and operations, collaborating closely with development teams and Product Owners to deliver reliable, automated solutions across our Azure-based technology stack. This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, drive automation initiatives, and implement best practices that directly impact our operational efficiency and security posture.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines and repositories to support continuous integration and deployment workflows
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior DevOps Engineers, fostering their professional growth and technical capabilities
- Partner with developers and Product Owners to deliver deployed code that aligns with project requirements and timelines
- Collaborate on cross-functional department projects, contributing DevOps expertise and recommending best practice solutions
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, cost optimization, and enhanced security across our infrastructure and deployment processes
- Execute deployments across multiple platforms including Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365FO), and PowerApps
- Work closely with development teams to assess the impact of branch merges and ensure smooth integration processes
Job Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps Engineer role
- 3+ years working within Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Proven experience with version control systems and branching strategies
- Demonstrated proficiency with command-line tools and automation scripting languages
- Strong background in building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions on cloud computing platforms
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding and application of change management practices
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in task management
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from colleagues
- Understanding of project management principles, including timeline and budget considerations
- Proven time management abilities with the capacity to prioritize multiple initiatives
- Flexibility to provide after-hours support when necessary to ensure business continuity and willingness to see critical issues through to resolution
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Expert-level knowledge of Git and TFVC source control systems
- Experience leveraging Azure CLI for cloud resource management
- Advanced skills in Python and PowerShell for automation and scripting
- Strong expertise in Terraform IaC development following industry best practices
- Prior experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365FO) cloud-based ERP platform
