General Description

Work in a fast-paced buying department for a major specialty retail company.  This position will be required to oversee various projects involving EDI and Vendor Compliancy programs, maintaining communications for production using EDI tools and ensuring smooth transitions when changes or maintenance are required.   Additional requirements include the administrative management of vendors in regard to vendor compliancy matters and their EDI partnerships. 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the EDI process between Lids and external stakeholders (vendors and partners) utilizing OpenText services.
  • Working directly with Lids Merchandising department and external vendors on processes for product identification and other product procedures.
  • Assists in onboarding new vendors to ensure business requirements are understood.
  • Regular status reporting of projects for internal reviews with multiple departments.
  • Develop strong relationships among colleagues and vendors.
  • Collaborates with internal departments on vendor related compliance matters.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and identifies vendor compliance issues by analyzing weekly and monthly Vendor Compliance reports.
  • Work closely with multiple Lids departments for varying projects and tasks.

Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience in compliance, supply chain, project management, process improvement, business analytics, or another related field.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Experience with D365 or similar ERP systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience with EDI processes and applications strongly preferred.
  • OpenText or other managed services preferred.
  • GXS UPC catalog knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong, professional, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encourage feedback, and innovation.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
