General Position Summary

Lids is seeking an innovative Email & SMS Marketing Coordinator to support our email campaigns focused on increasing both website and in-store traffic. The ideal candidate will create engaging email content, manage targeted subscriber lists, and analyze campaign results to boost customer engagement and sales. This role is key to strengthening Lids’ connection with our community of fans and customers. It reports to the Manager of Email & SMS.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute email and text message marketing campaigns aimed at driving traffic to Lids’ websites and physical stores.
  • Create compelling, on-brand email and text message content promoting new product launches, exclusive offers, events, and seasonal promotions.
  • Segment and manage subscriber lists to deliver personalized and targeted messaging that resonates with diverse customer segments.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, store visits, and sales conversions to optimize future campaigns.
  • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, and call-to-actions to maximize engagement and traffic.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, store ops, and creative teams to align email messaging with ongoing promotional efforts and branding initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with email and text messaging marketing laws and privacy regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer communication databases, ensuring data hygiene and segmentation.
  • Utilize Customer Data Platform (CDP) to analyze customer behaviors, enhance audience segmentation, and personalize campaigns effectively.
  • Keep up with industry trends and implement best practices to increase campaign effectiveness and customer engagement.

Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or retail marketing.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, SFMC, or similar ESPs).
  • Strong copywriting skills with an eye for visual layout and design.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze campaign results and refine strategies
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of retail industry trends and customer behavior.
  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation.
  • Ability to customize email templates using HTML/CSS.
  • Experience using Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) to analyze customer data and personalize marketing efforts.
