General Position Summary

As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively.

This is a part-time position (20 hours/week). This position works fully on-site at the Lids corporate office in NW Indianapolis.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
  2. Answer incoming telephone calls; determine purpose of callers and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department. Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate personnel.
  3. Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and request to place orders when necessary.
  4. Follow security procedures by monitoring logbooks and requesting visitor badges as needed.
  5. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently.
  6. Main conference room scheduling to include meeting set-up and clean-up.
  7. Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  8. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  1. High school diploma or equivalent plus one-year relative experience.
  2. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.
  4. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
