General Description
Lids is seeking a detailed and analytical HR Operations Specialist to execute a variety of HR transactions focusing on HR Infrastructure, Data, Technology, and supporting the HR team and business needs. This resourceful individual will serve others by providing critical HR metrics, ensuring business compliance, and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies as a key member of a growing team.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with other HR Operations team members to support retail, distribution center, and corporate employees
2. Develop scalable processes and improvements for key People processes including onboarding/offboarding, and recognition.
3. Plan, support, coordinate and execute projects across the organization and reporting on status, risks, issues.
4. Operate as a Super User of the company’s HRIS, SAP Success Factors within the HR Team.
5. Maintain and develop key business metrics to support business leaders and departments
6. Maintain organizational structure and hierarchy by processing, auditing, and troubleshooting employee life cycle transactions within SAP Success Factors.
7. Maintain knowledge of trends and issues that arise out of daily use of systems
8. Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation on HR Technology for employees, managers, and administrators.
9. Assist with onboarding processes by reviewing applicant background checks and I-9 and E-verify compliance to determine work eligibility.
10. Research, interpret, and communicate federal and state laws relating to employment and meal/rest breaks to ensure compliance and communicates potential compliance issues.
11. Assist HR with maintaining and updating communication outlets, employee handbooks, HRIS systems and LMS to ensure policies, procedures and training information are up to date.
12. Partner with HR Operations Team and legal counsel on data requests and correspondence regarding legal claims
13. Partner with the Talent Team and Hiring Managers in the creation of new roles by providing FLSA job analysis
14. Maintain and communicate COVID-19 protocols to necessary employees
15. Other duties as assigned.
Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and/or equivalent experience.
2. 2+ years of full-time work experience in Human Resources preferred
3. Highly proficient working with data in Excel and HRIS applications
4. Knowledge and ability to conduct research of employment laws and federal regulations
5. Must be able to handle highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and professionalism
6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.
7. Strong organization and attention to detail
8. Strong sense of urgency in responding to internal customers/employees
9. Ability to work in a team environment
