General Summary:

The Manager of Corporate Development will manage growth initiatives and execute growth projects for Lids Sports Group. This position will oversee, lead, and coordinate multiple store and country expansion initiatives to drive company growth. This role will primarily be responsible for: sourcing, evaluating, and executing new growth initiatives of Lids from concept to actual deployment of stores.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manages a pipeline of new growth opportunities both domestically and internationally, including the negotiation and execution of growth initiatives.
  2. Plans, coordinates, and oversees corporate projects and provides regular reporting to key stakeholders.
  3. Project management of growth initiatives from origination to final execution.
  4. Coordinates between different departments and communicates to all stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered to satisfaction.
  5. Sources new growth opportunities including new real estate opportunities, domestically and internationally.
  6. Support the evaluation and execution of new corporate initiatives and acquisition opportunities.
  7. Develops financial plans to ensure profitability on all new real estate and growth initiatives.
  8. Leads the execution on new growth opportunities, including collaborating with other business leaders, to ensure project completion.
  9. Assist and lead the review of a wide range of portfolio company legal documents including new contracts, leases, financing documents and partnership agreements.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Job Required Knowledge, Skills and Education

  1. Minimum 4 years of experience, preferred candidates have experience in finance, consulting, project management or real estate.
  2. A willingness to support all areas of our business, including working across all departments.
  3. Working knowledge of P&L statements.
  4. Bachelor’s degree.
  5. Expert level use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to convey messages clearly and concisely.
  7. Ability to work autonomously and in teams, and at all levels of the organization (internally and externally).
  8. Ability to work effectively with levels of ambiguity and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  9. Willingness to travel internationally, including long-term stays in growth regions.
