Lids offers a comprehensive internship program across multiple professional disciplines in the fast-paced world of sports, retail and fashion.

Students will work at the Lids Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN under the guidance of mentors while engaging in real career-related activities. Interns will have the opportunity to present their business projects to the Lids Leadership team and other key members of the organization. The program is designed to complement and expand the students' classroom education and offers an opportunity to gain marketable career experience.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audit Schedule Management – schedule and cancel audits for District Sales Managers, District Managers in Training, and Loss Prevention Investigators.
  • Security Equipment and Systems Management – maintain the correct LP attributes in Store Definitions via our Intranet.  Monitor and confirm new installs.  Program new install templates and settings. Weekly monitoring of equipment “health” and addressing service issues with the Helpdesk and/or vendor.  Weekly monitoring of Intrusion alarms and employee information sent to vendor for new installs.
  • Assist with investigations involving theft, fraud, policy violations, etc
  • Weekly EBR (Exception Based Reporting) management using CCTV and Think LP case management platform to review, disseminate, track, and verify exceptions.
  • Assist with special projects

  • For consideration to participate in the internship program, an applicant must have a 3.0 minimum GPA and either be a full-time student pursuing a baccalaureate or higher degree in a business-related field at an accredited college/university or attending an accredited 2-year college/university.
  • A selected student must be present for the duration of the internship from 6/5/23-8/4/23. This internship is on-site at our corporate office in Indianapolis.
  • Expected to graduate between December of 2023 and May 2024 (Junior Status)
