General Description

The Vice President of Business Development with be responsible for maintaining and growing existing school relationships, interfacing with various members of the BNED management and field team to win new accounts, drive new business initiatives and manage communications with the BNED team. Additional responsibilities include growing and developing the team required, weekly and monthly reporting, identifying new growth opportunities and objectives, interfacing with e-commerce partners/vendors as needed and other duties as assigned. The Vice President of Business Development will report directly to the President of FLC.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team focused on school/client relationships and communications
  • Participate with the BNED team on sales pitches and presentations for new accounts
  • Work closely with the BNED team for renewals of existing accounts
  • Provide support key accounts on updates of inventory goals and expectations
  • Travel to communicate in person with schools and key accounts on a routine basis
  • Develop and grow new business initiatives and new opportunities
  • Work closely with FLC leadership on designing, building, and executing on new opportunities

Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • 5+ years of full-time work experience in retail operations experience supporting multiple facilities preferred
  • Knowledge and ability to manage a team of individuals
  • Must be able to handle highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and HRIS applications
  • Strong reporting and follow up skills
  • Strong sense of urgency in responding to internal customers/employees
  • Ability to work in a team environment
